Fruit Dump Cake

I remember making this for the first time shortly after I had graduated from high school and living in my first rental house with a close friend.  It is ridiculously easy and so darn delicious.

There are so many different flavor combinations and I've always been the biggest fan of this classic cherry and pineapple combo.

Let's Get Crafty!

Preheat the oven to 350

Ingredients:

1 can cherry pie filling -21 oz

1 can crushed pineapple - 20 oz

1 box yellow cake mix

1/2 cup melted butter

Mix together the cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple.  I do this right in the dish that I'll be using to bake this bad boy.

Evenly distribute the cake mix over the top.

Drizzle with the melted butter.  I have finally found my microwave's sweet spot for melting butter.  It is  at 30% power for 45 seconds.  I probably still always cover it - just in case.

Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.  Our oven seems to cook pretty fast and I'm generally on the shorter end of bake times.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a great day.
