Resurrection Rolls for Easter

Here's a super fun Easter baking activity to do with the kids.  I explained to Emily what we were going to do and she gave me a skeptical look and said:  "So... you're saying that Jesus is a marshmallow?"

And so... we talked through it again.  :)

The marshmallow represents Jesus.  After he died he was wrapped in linen (rolled in butter and cinnamon/sugar).  Jesus was then put in a tomb (put inside flaky layers biscuit.)  On the third day Jesus rose from the dead (open your cooked biscuit and the marshmallow has melted.)

Let's Get Crafty!
Preheat your oven based on whatever your biscuit container recommends

Ingredients:
1 can of flaky layers biscuits (8 count)
8 large marshmallows (we just used 4 and made the 4 biscuits like normal)
4 tablespoons butter, melted
Cinnamon/Sugar
                                             Roll your marshmallow in butter

Roll your buttered marshmallow in cinnamon/sugar

Split your biscuit in half and put the marshmallow in the middle.

Seal up your tomb.

Bake according to your biscuit package directions.

We made these Easter 2020 while most of the country was under Stay at Home orders.  This seemed like a fun way to get to talk about Easter during a time we couldn't go to church in person.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a blessed day.

Sweet and Spicy Shrimp

This recipe is a spin off Bang Bang shrimp and uses a mayo base.  It's super easy and a fun way to mix up "fried" shrimp.  Just whisk the sauce below together and toss gently with your breaded shrimp that are hot from the oven or air fryer.

Here are the three ingredients:

1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup chili garlic sauce (siracha is also amazing in place of this)
1/4 cup honey

Whisk is all together.  Done and done!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day.

Air Fryer Roasted Jalepenos

Whenever we are grilling dinner, Mark will throw a few whole jalapenos on the grill to have them with whatever we are having.   On this day ...
