Blackened Shrimp Sliders

Hi!  I'm not sure where the time goes and can't believe it has been almost two months since I've posted.  This recipe was awesome and I see us making it over and over again.

Let's Get Crafty!
Blackening Seasoning for 2 pounds shrimp:
(We had about 1/4 of the amount left at the end)
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
dash of cayenne pepper

Sprinkle half the seasoning on the shrimp and set aside in the fridge for 30 minutes for the flavors to combine.

Sauté shrimp on medium high heat and sprinkle with more blackening seasoning until cooked through.  Be careful not to crowd the pan. The length of time depends on the size of shrimp.  Ours took a couple minutes on each side.  (I enlist my husband for the actual cooking of the shrimp because I get nervous it won't be cooked through enough and end up overcooking them.  Plus - he's really good at it.)

Mark and I had ours on toasted slider rolls with a mayo/siracha sauce.  So good!  The kids started with their shrimp on a roll and ended up eating them separately.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a great day.
