And so... we talked through it again. :)
The marshmallow represents Jesus. After he died he was wrapped in linen (rolled in butter and cinnamon/sugar). Jesus was then put in a tomb (put inside flaky layers biscuit.) On the third day Jesus rose from the dead (open your cooked biscuit and the marshmallow has melted.)
Let's Get Crafty!
Preheat your oven based on whatever your biscuit container recommends
Ingredients:
1 can of flaky layers biscuits (8 count)
8 large marshmallows (we just used 4 and made the 4 biscuits like normal)
4 tablespoons butter, melted
Cinnamon/Sugar
Roll your marshmallow in butter
Roll your buttered marshmallow in cinnamon/sugar
Seal up your tomb.
Bake according to your biscuit package directions.
We made these Easter 2020 while most of the country was under Stay at Home orders. This seemed like a fun way to get to talk about Easter during a time we couldn't go to church in person.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a blessed day.
